Sunday 21st June 09 became a 'Fun Day' for staff at Nightfreight's Central Hub in order to raise money for Wolverhampton based but nationally registered charity Promise Dreams which is dedicated to making dreams come true for terminally and seriously ill children
Hundreds of tickets were sold and staff gave up part of their weekend to volunteer and man the many activities arranged in the grounds of the hub.
There was a guest appearance from Steve Bull MBE, ex Wolverhampton Wanderers and England footballer, who is also a patron of the charity. Steve spent the afternoon joining in the fun, signing autographs and having his picture taken with people
Over £3500 has been raised so far and a cheque was presented to Steve by Nightfreight's Managing Director Peter Louden and staff.
Amongst the many activities was horse rides, quad bikes, 4 dancing troupes, sumo wrestling, fair ground rides and stalls, stocks and a gunge tank where people paid money to gunge nominated volunteers.
A fantastic day was enjoyed by all who attended and the hard work and effort that went into producing this event was clearly displayed for all to see.
