Nightfreight on hand for Beauty Express charity shipment

Sam Stewart and Bob Yuill

NIGHTFREIGHT ON HAND FOR BEAUTY EXPRESS CHARITY SHIPMENT

Nightfreight was more than happy to help out when Glasgow-based Beauty Express needed assistance transporting unwanted uniforms and shoes worth £30,000 to Mercy Ships, a global charity that provides healthcare and development support to some of the world's poorest countries. Nightfreight was on hand to move a shipment of pallets from Beauty Express' warehouse to Mercy Ships' UK base in Stevenage.

Beauty Express, a leading supplier of professional beauty products and equipment, identified the surplus stock within the company's warehouse and offered to donate the products to Mercy Ships. The variety of brand new uniforms and shoes will be used on board the hospital ship, Africa Mercy, and in a variety of local clinics and hospitals that partner with Mercy Ships in Africa.

Bob Yuill at Beauty Express commented: "We had no means of delivering the surplus stock to Mercy Ships, so we are very grateful to Nightfreight for handling the shipment free of charge. Mercy Ships help change the lives of so many people and we sincerely hope that our donation has helped in some way."

Sam Stewart, Glasgow Depot Sales Manager at Nightfreight, said: "When Beauty Express asked for our help we were only too pleased to assist. We have recently been appointed by the company to provide delivery services to hairdressing salons and colleges throughout the UK, so we are committed to meeting all their supply chain needs."
