Nightfreight uses a custom built system called NightTrak to manage the collection and delivery of our customer's parcels and freight. "NightTrak, like all of the IT systems we employ, is developed and maintained in-house, which allows us to be very flexible with its operation when working with customers", says Head of IT Mike Sherry. "We believe our systems are among the most customer focused in the industry".
When consignment information is received from a customer it enters NightTrak where it is automatically processed. Depots receive the consignment information before the actual freight arrives, allowing for advanced load and delivery round planning.
"NightTrak has been praised by our customers, and has been a key tool in improving the level of Customer Care we offer," states Mike. "With NightTrak we are able to record every event in the life-cycle of a customer's consignment. Any of our dedicated customer care departments can provide the customer with a full history of their consignment if necessary".
