COURSE OBJECTIVES
The the essential drivers knowledge course aims to provide the development and recognition of the required skills and knowledge for those engaged or wishing to be engaged in road transport and distribution operations as goods vehicle drivers, in order that they may competently perform their required duties and responsibilities in transporting goods by road.
It also seeks to effectively promote a safe operation at all times for the benefit of the employer, employee, fellow workers, customers and the public at large.
OVERVIEW
Fewer accidents, decreased vehicle downtime, economic use of resources, insurance benefits.
Aimed at the Distribution and Logistics Industry, also any organisations that operate commercial vehicles. For example, Local Authorities, Fire Service, Police Service, Prison Service, Ministry of Defence and Airport Authorities to name a few.
Drivers can enter with a B Class Licence, a C Class Licence or C+E Class Licence.

The course is a 3 day course during which they are continually assessed and examined.
